NHM TRANSLATION exists to help you promote your business by making your message understandable to an international audience. I serve other small business as well as international clients with expertise in cross-cultural communications, business and cooking.

Nicola Thayil

I established nhm translation in 2011. The letters n, h and m are my initials and h and m represent my grandmothers’ names – two amazing women from whom I still draw inspiration today. Their strong spirit, creative nature and love of life and nature are part of who I am.

I am a Melbourne-based, NAATI certified French to English translator, French <> English interpreter. I specialise the corporate and sustainability sectors.

I hold Bachelor of International Business (University of Technology Sydney), a European Management degree (NEOMA Business School) and a Master of Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies (Monash University). I have professional marketing experience in corporate services, tourism, education, communication and event management. I have lived and worked in France, Japan and Australia.

I work with other qualified, certified and experienced translators through NHM TRANSLATION  to help you find the right words and expressions to project your company’s voice to the world.

Why me?

As a translator between French and English, I combine language with corporate communication and marketing experience to help businesses drive international visibility.

I often get asked about the types of texts I translate, so here are a few examples. These include a text on business innovation, a business article, a Vogue magazine article, an example of a marketing presentation translation, an extract from a tender response document and legal translation (agreement and contract).
